Character Bible & Spiritual Roadmap: The Woodland Trio (God Made You Series)

Welcome to the drafting table of the soul. At David Corwin Ash, we believe that stories aren't just entertainment; they are the architectural blueprints for the next generation's faith. Our mission: "Where Sacrifice Speaks, Silence Invites, and Prayer Prevails": is the heartbeat of every character we create and every roadmap we draw.

In the God Made You Series, we are building more than a collection of children’s stories. We are constructing the "Woodland Village," a spiritual community that mirrors biblical order and generational stewardship. This is a place where identity isn't a question to be solved by the world, but a gift to be unwrapped through the Word of God. Today, we dive deep into the Character Bible and Spiritual Roadmap of the Woodland Trio.

The Visionary Foundation: Why This Series Matters

The name David carries the history of the heart; Corwin represents the rebirth of the noble companion; and Ash signifies the resurrection that rises from the ruin. These aren't just names; they are the theological pillars of our work. When we look at the Woodland Trio, we see the Lamb’s surrender, the Cross’s victory, and the prayerful vigilance of the Mantis.

We are writing for a generation that is often told they are accidents of biology. The "God Does Not Make Mistakes" (GDNMM) project is our counter-narrative. Using the "Identity Guide" voice, we speak bold truth with respectful love. We are telling every child that they were designed by the Master Craftsman.

The Character Bible: The Woodland Trio

The Trio is the engine of the Woodland Village. Their lives are not static; they follow a lifelong Discipleship Arc that mirrors the journey of every believer.

David the Squirrel: The Visionary Mentor

David is the bridge between the wisdom of the elders and the energy of the youth. With a fast-moving mind and a heart that beats for the Kingdom, he represents the "history and heart" of the village.

  • Role: Visionary mentor and student of the Word.

  • Spiritual Arc: David begins as a curious student under the tutelage of Mr. and Mrs. Bagger. He experiences the transformative power of baptism, leading him into a life of service. Eventually, he matures into the village’s Minister and Preacher. In a beautiful full-circle moment of covenant faithfulness, he will eventually officiate the wedding of his dear friend, Patience.

  • Key Trait: Discernment. He is the first to see the "Hyper Walk" transitions of the Spirit: the temporal time-lapses where day moves to night and dawn rises into a full day of revelation.

Patience the Platypus: The Journey of Identity

Patience is the central figure of our narrative. Her journey is one of "becoming." In a world that demands instant results, her name is her destiny.

  • Role: The seeker and the heart of the Trio.

  • Spiritual Arc: Patience’s story is about identity formation. She struggles with her unique nature as a platypus, eventually realizing that her "both/and" design is a reflection of God’s intentionality. Her spiritual milestone is her baptism, performed by David the Squirrel, symbolizing her public declaration of faith and her inclusion in the Covenant.

  • Key Trait: Resilience. She learns that silence invites the presence of God.

Rexley the Platypus: The Courageous Companion

Let us be clear: Rexley is a platypus, through and through. Though he possesses the heart of a lion, he is the energetic little brother of Patience.

  • Role: The catalyst for action and adventure.

  • Spiritual Arc: Rexley represents the courage of youth. He is the one who reminds the Trio that "Prayer Prevails" even when the path is dark. His energy is channeled through the mentorship of David and the Baggers, turning raw strength into disciplined faith.

  • Key Trait: Vitality. He embodies the "rebirth" aspect of the Corwin name: a noble companion who is always ready for the next step of the journey.

Mr. and Mrs. Bagger: The Spiritual Pillars

Every village needs its elders. Mr. and Mrs. Bagger are the Woodland Ministers/Pastors, the master builders of the community’s soul.

  • Role: Mentors and Pastors.

  • Function: They provide the "Sorrow-Love" of the broken heart and the "Surrender-Atonement" of the Lamb. They are the ones who teach David the Squirrel how to handle the "Stones" of judgment with the grace of Christ.

The Spiritual Roadmap: A Multi-Page Discipleship Arc

The Woodland Village: An Immersive Interaction

We don't want our readers to just sit and read. We are building the Woodland Village as an immersive, festival-style experience: much like a Renaissance Festival. In this model, the characters interact directly with the "villagers" (the audience).

Imagine a setting where children can sit with David the Squirrel as he prepares his sermon, or help Rexley fix a bench in the village square. This is where "The Craftsman’s Source" meets "The Lamb’s Voice." While the trade skills are taught with professional precision, the underlying heartbeat is always the Gospel.

In these moments, characters like Mr. Bagger might engage in a friendly debate about the nature of the "Hyper Walk," explaining how God exists outside of time while being intimately present in our "now." Children aren't just spectators; they are participants in a living parable.

Theological Architecture: The Symbols We Carry

Every story in the God Made You Series is infused with the symbols of our brand. When a character faces failure, they encounter the "Stones": the weight of sin and judgment. But they aren't left there. They are led to the "Broken Heart," where sorrow meets love, and ultimately to the "Cross," where victory is secured.

We depict the "Hyper Walk" as a visual and spiritual transition. When the Trio travels from the Road to the Temple Courtyard, the atmosphere shifts. The lyrics of "Hosanna Rising" fill the air, and the travelers experience the time-lapse of grace: from the darkness of the night to the dawn of a new covenant.

A Final Prophetic Word

The Woodland Trio is a gift from the heart of David Corwin Ash to your family. We are not just making books; we are making disciples. We are calling out the noble companion in every child and reminding them that from the ashes of a broken world, God is building something beautiful, something eternal, and something that was planned before the foundations of the world.

As we move forward into 2026, let us remember that every squirrel, every platypus, and every child is a masterpiece. God made you, He loves you, and He has a roadmap for your life that leads straight to His heart.
